Glass Blowing

The blog's feeling a little creation bare and word heavy right now so posting here I come!

I got to fulfill a dream of mine by blowing glass. The wonderful Uptown Glassworks in the Seattle, Wa area (Renton) teaches classes. You get to pick out different projects to make and your own colors. You can do one project or take a series of detailed classes. This is a photo of my glass after blowing mid-project. That orange color being curled on top is glass that is hundreds of degrees hot. I didn't get to do that part. Wonder why, I mean I'd had one whole class and everything... I'm thinking of posting the whole process. See how the glass is puffed out? That's my air in there. I loved doing this and can totally recommend them if you were thinking of doing it.
